Cheek Cells

Task Description: As we looked at our cells with my partner on the microscopes we had to draw 4 or 5 of them. After we finished, we had to take a photo so we could put it on our blog post.
We had to see how small the cell was and how big it was.

Onion cells - Microscope Drawings.

Task Description: So what we did is that we watched a video of a lady drawing the center of the onion cell by looking at the microscope and then drawing it.
So we did the same, we had to draw 5 or 4 parts of the onion cell. first we used a Popsicle stick to use it for our cheek inside. after that we had a little drop of saline on the mark we tapped the Popsicle with.
After that, we let the cell dry up so we could dye it...

Jonah lomu story

Jonah lomu is a famous rugby player and he was never scared of anything he will do anything just to do with his career. His career was so good because of how many tries hes got and how many broken tackles he has made. Then something wrong happen he had passed away on the 18th of November and all his friends and family were crying because he had passed so they went the Eden Park and some of his friends were holding him and they took him to the car and they family and friend members followed.                                THE END

Number 28

Prisoner number 28 was built in his father's garage. He was built from steel and bolts found on the side of the road. But prisoner number 28 wasn’t always a prisoner he was a good boy. He did everything his father demanded and never disrespected him. He never said no and never did anything to harm anyone. Until one day when he woke up and felt a bit… broken his father checked him out to see what was wrong turns out number 28 was missing 28 bolts. His father always knew what to do till this day and that’s when number 28 became a prisoner. No one really knew what happened to him he went off and started to hurt his father which a lot of other men nearby heard about and was very angry at him for it. But couldn’t blame number 28. Number 28 went missing for almost 90 years. His father showed other family members photos of number 28 when he was a little robot and he tried to make him an even bigger robot. People always asked him, “What did happen to him?” but his father just stuck his shoulders and said, “Honestly I don’t know”. Number 28’s father put the number 28 on his hand till they meet again and that’s how he got his number 28. For about 90 years passed there were rumors going around say, “Prisoner number 28 is back!!” everyone has heard about it and everyone was so happy to see him about well most were others didn’t want him back well the reset didn’t know what was going on. “He’s back he’s back!!” I was awoken by the loud noise of people screaming and running around. I got up and looked out the window, “Oh what?! Is that a car?!” I looked out the window and saw a car fly right pass, “My head my beautiful head I would've died” I got dressed still in shock on what happened. I didn’t know I was almost about to get a car to the head this morning. As I was walking down the road to the shops to buy milk I saw number 28 and said “Goodmorning number 28… (Walking off) Wait” I slowly turned around. “Number 28 it’s been so long where have you been?” “Where have I been? Where have I been?! My father had locked me up in a secret basement and I thought you all were in this?! he locked me up and put me to rest for years I have been asleep and I have finally woke up and now I am looking for him” “Oh well I’m sorry 28 but your father has passed” “Passed what? The red light?” “Why does everything must be a joke your father died 28 dead I tell you dead!!” Number 28 wasn’t very happy on the tone of my voice and went off again. He flipped cars and through them everywhere I knew he was the want that through the car to my face but I didn’t want him to get mad at me it wasn’t my time to go. Prisoner number 28 was finished on throwing cars but we still mad on how his father left him to die in a basement and didn’t have time to go and say his last goodbyes. Number 28 thought he didn’t belong in the world and thought he should go where his father is right now but I didn’t want that to happen I wanted him to go on with his life and what he wants to be and what he can be good at. He was so big and strong I told him to be a builder and lift up the heavier things he could be a monster mission. So he did that I signed him up and he got the job! So now Bulider 28 builds and lifts heavy things people cannot.

Cross Country

there were a lot of people and there were people from a different school in our race. Also they were in the top 5 but one person from our school that came 1st place. And the other people from our school came top 20.

Before the race started the house captains had to say there chances. But there were 4 house colours Yellow,Blue,Green, and Red but the best house color is yellow because they have the fastest people in that house colour. And also the year 7 & 8 had to do 3kms because we are the oldest and the fittest people in the school.

During the race people were getting tired and tired but we still tried our best and we kept going on and on. But we stopped so we can get a rest then after we had our rest we ran to the finish line. then after the race we had to get a water bottle from a table then we drank it and then we had to wash our feet because it was dirty.

D.M.I.C Problem

Today we had DMIC we had to solve a problem and it was all about Lollies and who had the most Lollies in 5 days, The kids name's were Sam, Sonny and Sylvia. Sam had 15 lollies, Sonny had 30 Lollies and Silvia had 45 lollies.

Camp 2019

On Wednesday the 15th of May the year 8 from Pt England school went to a Leadership camp at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp, We spent two days and 3 night there we had lots of fun.

MAY 15 WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday I got to school at 7:55 the school was empty but 5 minutes later I saw my friends turn up so I went to them and they were dressed ready for camp. Then it was 8:30 then we went to class and had a meeting with the block, Then we went on the bus and off we go. It took an hour an a half to get there when we got there we had our morning tea then we went to our cabins to get our beds ready so we can sleep for the 1st night there.


MAY 16 THURSDAY

 The next day we had our breakfast then we went to get dressed for our 1st rotation. The 1st rotation my team had it was paintball it would hurt if your near the other person but it wont hurt if your far away we had 10 shots each me. And my team got the flag and it was 3 to us and 1 to the other team after that we had morning tea. Then after that we had our 2nd rotation which was sports we played Basktball,Soccor,Netball, and touch. Then after sports we had go karts, Go Karts is like a car but you can make it at home. I was so nervous because it was my first time going on a Go Kart. It was really fun because it was fast and you can drift in it.


MAY 16 FRIDAY

On Friday we heard a buzzer and then we woke up and brush our teeth and did other stuff then we had our breakfast. After our breakfast we had a meeting with all the teachers and the other teams after our meeting we had to pack up so we can go back to school. When we cleaned up we put our bags outside and we in a big room and there was a stage in front of us with 9 blocks of chocolate. Each teacher got to hand out the chocolate but they had to eat it at home so then can share with there family. Then it was time to because 2 buses arrived to the location that we were at then before we went home we went to a Garden to have lunch then after our lunch we went around and had a look then one of the teachers went to get some food for the animals.

On the first week of school we had to do Writing a Narrative and I talked about Goldilocks and the Three bears if we finished that we were writing about our School Holidays.

Immersion Assembly.

At Pt England School we had our 1st Immersion Assembly, For Term 2 and the topic for this Term is I like Your Latitude, Team 1 was talking about bees dying and making food disappearing, Team 2 had a Easter hunt they had to look up, Down, Left, Right. Team 3 had a video of pick-a-path it was pretty funny and good actions. Team 4 had a cool video cause they had to try and get to school from (Glen Innes) Pakensave to school and the teachers got some stuff to eat and then they finally found they way back to school, And now the most and best team so far team 5, Team 5 were talking about Virtual Travel Agency continents and my Teacher Ms Tapuke she had a special stick and then she slap the screen then it took her to those places she went to Europe,North America,Africa,And then Asia.

On Wednesday the 10th of April we had 3 special guest. One of the guest is a blues player he plays on the wing his name is Tanielu Tele`a. He was talking to us about his career and who he wanted to play like he said he wanted to play like Sonny Biil Williams. He is a all black player and a blues player and the two other people are. Fiona Bakulich, Jason Young. Fiona Bakulich is a worker she works for The Casketeers. She has to dress passed away bodies and she has to look after them as well. Jason Young use to build houses and other stuff like that then he said he was getting bad injuries so then he moved in a office that he writes paper on. Tanielu Tele`a came to Pt England school to study. And now he is in the blues. People from Pt England School is so proud of him. And he is very good at rugby.

Talking about our hearts.

Today we had a lady that was a Senior Nurse and he name is Mary - Anne, She was talking to us about our hearts and how many time it beats every minute. And she was talking to us about her career and where she was born and her mountain and her Family and Friends. And she was talking about peoples hearts getting traced by a heart mechanic. And we got to hold a heart but it was a toy one not a real one we got to see what was in it And it looks yuk.

On Friday the 29th of march we had a lady from Attitude. her name was Jannah she is funny, She has heaps of good jokes. I was laughing hard a I couldn't stop laughing she was talking about relationship, Guy-Guy, Girl-Girl, Girl-Guy, She goes around the country Like Hamilton and she goes to other schools he said NOT to do these things, Mean humour, Back stabbing, Smothering, Showing off, Bulling. Those are some things NOT to do to people.
